College
Beginnings, LLC was established to meet the needs
of those families who desire a college degree
for their child but who need help deciding which
college might be best. Finding the right school
or college is one of the most important decisions
a family will make. A correct choice will enrich
and enhance a student’s life, and can impact
his or her future. All consultation is tailor-made
to meet each client’s specific needs and
goals. Charges vary according to the needs of
the client and are discussed fully during the
introductory appointment.
The
first step is a meeting with the student and family
to identify needs and determine goals. Information
is gathered through interviews with the family
together and the parents and student separately.
After that, we review your student’s educational
records and make recommendations for testing and/or
tutoring as needed.
With
the needs of the student in mind, and after studying
a range of appropriate options, recommendations
are made on educational environments that best
meet the student’s personal and academic
criteria. The parents and student are provided
with those recommendations and it becomes their
responsibility to make appointments, visit colleges,
complete applications (with appropriate assistance)
and maintain contact with the consultant.
The
services provided by College Beginnings, LLC are
meant to enhance any other resources already in
place. Though not a requisite, College Beginnings,
LLC is committed in working together with the
student’s family, tutors, school, guidance
counselor, or other professionals in order to
gain the greatest perspective and best selections
possible. In all cases, full confidentiality is
maintained in accordance with the law and under
the request of the student and/or parents. Information,
including a student’s name, will be released
only with specific written consent from the student
(or the parents if the student is under 18).
Finally,
College Beginnings, LLC cannot guarantee the acceptance
or selection of any student by a school, college
or program, nor can there be any guarantee of
the success of the student in the chosen setting.
For that reason, we will not make any specific
endorsements of students for acceptance at any
particular school, college or university. We do
not accept fees from institutions or programs
for the referral or placement of a client. Our
primary obligation is the welfare of the student.
